Ten questions on student government

Posted in Campus, Politics by Connor Mendenhall on 16 February 2009

With 24 candidates vying for 10 seats, this year’s student Senate race already looks like a competitive one. That’s a good sign, but here at the Lamp, we want to ensure that this year’s candidates talk policy, not pablum.

Later this week, we’ll be sending a short policy survey to each ASUA candidate, asking them to answer ten simple questions on issues that affect students. But before we hear from them, we want to hear from UA students themselves! Once we’ve collected responses from student leaders and the public, we’ll post the results of both, so you can see which candidates support your own views, and which are closest to the opinions of the university as a whole.

If you’ve got ten minutes free time and a UA email address, we’d love to hear from you. Check out the questions here.
