Personal Issues Score: -5 Economic Issues Score: -10

Student government should:

Healthy Eating: Encourage students to make healthy choices with new awareness and education programs only.

Club Funding: Eliminate the Appropriations Board. Give each club a fixed subsidy or a payment based on number of members.

UAPD & Red Tag Program: Protect students with cameras installed in residence halls. Support a stronger police presence on campus.

Free Speech: Speak out against offensive speech and hold Town Hall meetings and informational events, but avoid official resolutions. Expand diversity training and social justice programs.

Spending: Eliminate some student services and programs. Try to reduce student fees and spend less from bookstore profits.

Job Support: Provide more student jobs on campus and pay a “fair wage.”

Concealed Weapons: Refer any position on concealed weapons on campus to a student referendum.

Elections Code: Maintain the current ASUA elections code.

Pride Alliance & WRC: “Spin off” both programs. Allow them to seek funding through the normal appropriations process.

Textbook Prices: Support stronger government regulation of the textbook market, but create no new lobbying or awareness programs.
