Student government should:

Healthy Eating: Encourage students to make healthy choices by funding discounts and subsidies for nutritious foods. Create new awareness and education programs promoting healthy eating.

Club Funding: Maintain current club funding. Retain the Appropriations Board.

UAPD & Red Tag Program: Officially oppose the Dean of Students\UAPD Red Tag program. Take no stand on campus drug and alcohol enforcement.

Free Speech: Speak out against offensive speech and hold Town Hall meetings and informational events, but avoid official resolutions. Expand diversity training and social justice programs.

Spending: Maintain current spending on student services and programs.

Job Support: Provide more student jobs on campus and pay a “fair wage.”

Concealed Weapons: Pass a resolution condemning any attempt to pass legislation allowing concealed carry of handguns on campus. Mobilize students to lobby against such legislation.

Elections Code: Expand the reach of the ASUA elections code to prevent collective campaigning and de-facto parties and regulate new technologies like Twitter.

Pride Alliance & WRC: “Spin off” both programs as independent clubs and expand ASUA funding.

Textbook Prices: Fight rising textbook prices by supporting stronger government regulation of the textbook market, and launching advocacy, awareness, and lobbying programs.
